This is a rare thing for me to do fanart, especially Marvel fanart.
I don't really like most Marvel heroes very much you know, like Spider-Man, X-men, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, The Fantastic Four. I've always thought of them as pretty good but they were never quite extraordinary in my opinion....I'm more of a DC kind of guy.
However there are a few Marvel heroes I like. My personal favorite since I was little has been The Thing. (amazing how "It's cloberin' time!" sounds so cool when you're in elementary school and when you hear it later on it sparks some kind of euphoric nostalgia eh?)
Well I noticed that his being cool has a pretty harsh price. Seriously, he's ugly, he has no pants, he doesn't have a real superhero name, and on top of all that, he can never have a secret identity.
I figured this is the closest he'd ever get....some kind of weird "Tick" parody...heh....everything involving the Tick is weird...
The Thing was always a favorite of mine too, he just stood out to me and his personality only helped, he was a bitter, resentful yet caring and loyal character. ALL at the same time!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
